We have complied some useful information on this page to help you with any additional knowledge you may require on our products such as fitting instructional videos, cleaning and care instructions, a list of frequently asked questions and further information on our quality classification certificates. CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Always use a soft cloth. If necessary you can humidify the soft cloth. If absolutely necessary on rare occasions you can use a PH neutral soap, on a soft cloth but immediately after application, you should remove any soap residue with a moist soft cloth.

Under NO circumstances should a hard tool (brush or wire metallic cloth) or an abrasive or acidic substance be used on the door lever.

SPECIAL WARNING ON CORROSIVE AIR
Please be aware that environments where there are high concentrations of chemicals in the air, for example emanating from low quality paint or corrosive agents, corrosion and damage may occur to the surface of the door lever. Door Levers should not be fitted into such environments until the high concentrations of chemicals in the air have subsided.

QUESTION - ARE FORTESSA LEVER HANDLES REVERSIBLE?
Answer – Can they be used on a left or right door opening?

All Fortessa Privacy & Passage Levers ARE reversible and can therefore be used on either left or right doors. The latch that hits the strike plate can be pulled towards you and rotated to work with any direction door. Please make sure the F logo is on the topside of the lever handle when fitting it into position. These details can be viewed on our fitting video found here on the resources page.

QUESTION - HOW SHOULD I PREPARE THE DOOR FOR BEFORE MOUNTING A LEVER?

QUESTION - DELIVERY AND RETURNS QUESTIONS
Answer – We use Amazon to fulfill all of our orders and we do not have any access to their delivery or returns information. You can however easily contact Amazon to receive information on this. Details can be found on the order confirmation email you will have received from Amazon on placing the order, or you can contact Amazon customer service directly from their website.

QUESTION - HOW CAN I OPEN THE PRIVACY LEVER FROM THE OUTSIDE IN THE EVENT OF SOMEONE GETTING LOCKED INSIDE?
Answer – For any Fortessa PRIVACY Lever set, there are 2 sides, one side is the inside, the other side is outside.

An image of the “Inside Lever Handle” is shown here, where you will notice that there is one hole located to the left side of the Rose, for the Privacy Pin.

 

On the Outer side lever, image shown below, there is also a hole on the rose. Normally, on this side this hole is accessible but is not in use. If it is necessary to open the door from outside, you can use the fitting highlighted below, that is provided will all purchased sets of Fortessa lever handles. This fitting has a hooked head as seen in the picture below. Just insert this fitting into the hole on the outer lever rose and push hard The privacy latch will release and the door can now be opened.
